A friend of mine is moving to Seattle and in the process of moving out she’s found herself with all kinds of great decor pieces with no home. I I
begged came to the rescue and offered to take a bulk of her stuff. She was so generous in giving it to me so who was I to say no. I’m so lucky! One of the items she gave me was a colorful canvas bag with a neon speckled red swatch of cotton fabric on it. It screamed “SUMMER!” I loved the bright summer fabric and knew that it would go perfectly with some of the items in my wardrobe. While I had been playing with other DIY ideas for one of those days when the kids take longer naps than normal, I couldn’t pass this one up. I had to do it, now. It ended up taking no time at all. I actually made it on my lunch break. Here’s what I made and how:
