I Sometimes Forget

I don’t know about you but in my rush through life I sometimes forget to stop and hit the reset button.  I blindly move through life looking solely at the issues before me without considering the future.  It’s like the saying, I can’t see the forest through the trees some times.  I have to remind myself of on a regular basis for no other reason than to put everything back into perspective.

Change is often resisted when it’s needed the most.

People rarely do things to the best of their ability.  They do things to the best of their willingness.

Most of the bad things I worry about will never happen.  Most of the bad things that happen will never cross my mind.

Whenever someone tells me that I can’t do something, I have to remember that they are speaking from their own limitations.

Every problem in my life right now is my responsibility, even if I wasn’t the one to initiate it.

Having a plan, even a flawed one at first, is better than no plan at all.

My success isn’t about me.  It’s about how I positively impact the lives around me.  (my favorite)

  1. “Whenever someone tells me that I can’t do something, I have to remember that they are speaking from their own limitations.” I absolutely love this one, just recently I had an older woman approach me in an attempt to “encourage” me I guess and told me how she failed and her daughter fail so its ok to stay where you are because you gonna fail anyway. really ?!?! I had to remember she is speaking from her own limations

  2. “Having a plan, even a flawed one at first, is better than no plan at all.” Whew, I try to live by that statement. As always this post was ROXY! Thanks Leslie!

  3. Great post I also needed this reminder to put things into perspective! Also may I add we can put limitations on ourselves by over thinking situations. I think as females we sometimes want to have a solution for anything possible problem that could go wrong in a situation. By trying to correct a future problems we created in our minds, we fear ourselves out of our blessings!

  4. This is soo true…we have to take time to put things in perspective. I love when u said people do things to the best of their willingness. I think alot of times we are scared to go that extra mile. Live with no fear. Live with no regrets…having done all you can do to make your dreams possible.

    1. Hi Lanetta, this was the one that got me too!! If we truly believed that “I can do ALL things through Christ, who strengthens me”, then fearlessness would be the norm! Thank you Leslie, for these POWERFUL quotes to begin my week!!
